The Illinois State Board of Education has launched an initiative to better understand statewide families’ perspectives in regard to mental and behavioral health screening of students in schools. Those seeking more information about the initiative can learn more here.
ISBE is collaborating with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Hubs across the state to host listening sessions on this topic, including a virtual listening session for parents and caregivers taking place on August 8th from 6:30 - 8 p.m. We encourage you to share the below flyer and other information with parents and caregivers in your school community who may wish to attend.
