Creative Art Contest
We certainly encourage all of our students to express themselves and tell us what "belonging" means to them. We want to create an environment for all of our students and their families. For the contest, students can create and submit a project in one of the following three categories: Visual (poster, collage, digital, etc.); Performance (song, rap, spoken word, etc.) and Written (essay, poem, etc.). Pre-K students can use the optional coloring page that was mentioned in the contest rules (see attached).
The official dates for the art contest are March 17 - April 4. (See attached). The creative art projects are due April 4, 2024. Principals and their admin teams are asked to judge the entries for their school and then send or deliver the winning projects - one from each category to me (Carla Harris Cole @ BB) by 4/9/25. Principals are asked to display the remaining art projects in their school. One winner in each category will be selected from the entries that the principals submit to the BB for district-level competition and judging. The overall district winners from each category will be notified by April 11th; they will be recognized at the Cities in Harmony event on Saturday, April 26th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and they will also receive a $25.00 gift card!
If you have any questions regarding Cities in Harmony, transportation and/or the creative art contest, please feel free to call and/or email me.
