Business Partnerships

Cahokia Unit School District #187 CTE programs is committed to empowering our students by preparing them for careers that help support their families, the local community and the local workforce needs. Cahokia Unit School District #187 is working to develop high-quality CTE (vocational/trades) classes that teach high school students job skills and prepare them for:

  • Entering a career directly after high school

  • Taking community college/trade school courses

  • Entering the military or trade unions

  • Continuing school at a four-year college

Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program is committed to building strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure students graduate with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to succeed in college, career, and life.

We also aim to provide local businesses and industry partners with early access to a pipeline of skilled, career-ready students by collaborating on real-world learning opportunities such as internships, job shadowing, and work-based learning experiences. Through active partnership, we aim to align CTE programs with workforce needs and prepare students to meet the demands of today's economy.
