Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to an exciting 2025-2026 school year.  My name is Jill Behan, and I am overjoyed to be the principal of Lalumier Elementary.  I hope that your summer was spent having relaxing and endless fun.  I look forward to working with parents, staff, and students to create an environment such that the students will grow academically, emotionally, and socially into well-rounded citizens.  The first day of school is Monday, August 18, 2025.

The Lalumier staff and myself look forward to getting to know each and every child, meeting their academic needs, and challenging them to be the best they can be. Through open communication, monthly newsletters, family engagement activities, and volunteer opportunities we can build a strong family involvement at Lalumier Elementary.  These approaches encourage a sense of community and partnership between families and the school, ultimately supporting student success.

I personally have a few goals that I will be working on this school year.  The first goal is to cultivate a positive and nurturing school climate and culture at Lalumier. In such an environment, every student feels a sense of belonging, is valued, and is empowered to reach their full potential.  My second goal for Lalumier Elementary is to see your child come to school everyday.  The district has taken to the motto “Attend today, succeed tomorrow!”   There is a link between attendance and academic success, social development, and future opportunities.

Feel free to contact me at any time, and I look forward to collaborating with you.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Jill Behan Principal
