We are excited to share a new literacy opportunity for our students! 📚✨
Using remaining FY25 SIG 1003a funds, our district partnered with Steps to Literacy to provide Take-Home Literacy Backpacks for all elementary students (through 8th grade). Each student will receive three backpacks throughout the year, each with a different theme and grade-level–appropriate materials to support reading and learning at home.
Our first backpack—the SEL and Gratitude Family Engagement Bag—will be sent home before winter break ❄️. These backpacks are clearly labeled by topic and grade level to ensure smooth distribution.
We hope these resources spark meaningful reading time and family engagement at home! 💛
