What is Family Access?
Family Access is a secure internet based website that will allow you to easily keep track of nearly everything your student(s) does while at school. Among other things, this new service will allow you to view your student's attendance, discipline, schedule, food service balance, grades, and emergency information.
Why should I enroll in Family Access?
Family Access will allow you instant access to your student(s) information. Creating an account will provide another opportunity for you to participate in your child's education.
How do I acquire a Family Access Account?
Complete the enrollment application and return it to your studentâs school. One application will provide access to information for all your children enrolled in Cahokia Unit School District. Within two weeks of receipt of your application, you will receive your username and password via email .
What is required to be able to view Family Access?
All you need is Internet access and your confidential login and password. Please note that Cahokia Unit School District #187 does not support off-site technology or software applications. For computer or software problems please contact your internet service provider or computer dealer.
Who do I contact for additional information or issues with Family Access?
Please contact your child's school with any student information questions. If you are having problems logging into Family Access, please re-apply for a Family Access login and password by filling out the enrollment application and returning it to the school secretary. An email will be sent to you with your new login and password.
How do I change my password?
To change your password in Family Access, you need to login to Family Access. Once you are at the main display for Family Access, please click the button in the upper right hand corner of the display that says Account Info. This button will show you all of your account information and how to change your password. You will be required to provide your current password when changing your password.
Why aren't all grades available at the same time?
Family Access provides real-time information. Since teachers input grades over a period of time, not all grades will show up at the same time.
Does Family Access cost money or is there a fee that I have to pay?
Family Access is provided free as a service of the Cahokia Unit School District.
I can't get Family Access to work on my computer; what should I do?
Family Access is a web based product, so it should work on your computer like any other web based application, such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. First, you should check to make sure you have the right Family Access web site address, or URL. You can access the Family Access web portal from the Cahokia School District home page at:
Occasionally, the Family Access web server may be down for maintenance. When this occurs, you will be unable to login. Please be patient and try again the next day.
